Most people want to stay in the comfort of their own home as long as they possibly can. However, it is common that care needs increase as illness progresses and physical health declines. Caregiver burnout is real and it is common! Physical and emotional exhaustion, increased stress, limited support and lack of respite are among the top reasons why caregivers burnout and end up physically ill and emotionally drained.
Anam Cara Caregiving in Lander, WY provides custom care in the home to help support needs brought on by debilitating illness or natural end-of-life phases of life. We collaborate with an established medical team (like home health and hospice) to implement an individualized plan of care—so caregivers can stay engaged, connected, and healthy while individuals requiring care are able to experience comfort and safety at home. Sarah works with a team of caregivers to offer various services and levels of care to customize individual needs, including chronic illness support, hospice support, and dementia support.
Our in-home caregiving team will help you stay
in the comfort of your own home.
Hello, my name is Sarah.
I am the founder of Anam Cara Caregiving. I have been passionate about aging and end of life care since I was with my grandmother when she said goodbye and took her last breaths in 2000. I have spent over 12 years as a hospice nurse, helping people find comfort, dignity and peace near the end of their lives.
I have found that most people prefer to be in a home setting as they age and near the end of their lives. However, it can be a challenge to stay at home when caregiver support is limited and family caregivers aren’t able to keep up as needs increase. Anam Cara Caregiving is dedicated to providing custom care in the aging and end of life stages to help people in the Lander, WY area spend their last phase of life in a setting that aligns with their wishes.
I value a collaborative approach. My caregiving services don’t replace your current medical providers or hospice support, rather they are an additional support to help implement care with ease. I work closely with established medical teams (like home health, hospice, or primary care teams) to provide a high standard of individualized and effective care wherever you call home. We are an alternative option for those seeking assisted living solutions or senior home care living, but we also partner with those entities to increase support in those settings.
Our Mission (and Passion!)
We are here to compassionately guide you through progressive illness and end-of-life using a holistic model of care. We bridge gaps in the medical system—through custom caregiving, education, and emotional support—so you can experience a connected and meaningful life through all stages of the natural life-cycle.
