Foundations and Businesses

In 2023, the Blackbird Foundation generously donated $5,000 to Anam Cara, providing us the freedom to allocate these funds where they were most needed. This unrestricted gift reflects their deep trust in our work and is a powerful endorsement of our mission. We are incredibly grateful for their support, which enables us to respond flexibly to our most pressing needs and continue serving our community effectively.

Blackbird Foundation believes that redundancy in the social sector leads to a waste of precious resources. The Blackbird Foundation partners with sustainable organizations that are implementing and discovering long-term solutions to our local and global challenges.

In 2022, the Daniels Fund awarded Anam Cara a transformative $45,000 grant to bring a new idea to life: providing more frequent and responsive RN visits to our clients. This initiative was designed to enhance the dignity, safety, and comfort of our clients, meeting their needs with greater regularity and care. Thanks to the Daniels Fund’s generous support, this program was a resounding success, making a significant impact that would not have been possible without their partnership.

The Daniels Fund, established by cable television pioneer Bill Daniels, is a private charitable foundation dedicated to making life better for the people of Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming through its grants program, scholarship program, and ethics initiative.

In 2024, we proudly marked our third year participating in Challenge for Charities (C4C), and each year has reinforced the community's trust and support in our programs. During our first year in 2022, we raised $12,388.06, including the C4C match. In 2023, we saw significant growth, raising $23,749.28 with the C4C match. This year, we set a stretchy $50,000 goal, and, thanks to the generosity of our supporters and the C4C match, we surpassed it!!! Every dollar raised has gone directly to our Shared-Care Fund, allowing us to make custom in-home caregiving more affordable for families in our community.

Our success in the Challenge for Charities is a testament to our supporters and our shared commitment to creating accessible, high-quality care for our aging community. Thank you for standing with us and helping to make this vision a reality!

The mission of the Lander Community Foundation is to create a stronger community by promoting philanthropy, encouraging effective giving, and facilitating volunteerism while providing leadership on issues that are important to our community.

In 2022, our rapid growth stretched our small team to its limits, prompting us to seek support from LIFT. LIFT responded generously with a grant of $14,370, which enabled us to expand our team of RN Case Managers. Today, we’re proud to have a dedicated team of four part-time Registered Nurses who bring compassion, expertise, and unwavering commitment to their roles. These highly qualified professionals are available 24/7 to support our caregivers, clients, and their families, ensuring consistent, quality care and peace of mind for all those we serve.

The goal of the Lander Investment for Tomorrow (LIFT) Program is to invest Fremont County’s one-half cent sales tax funds back into the Lander economy by providing funding programs to its businesses or organizations.

Lander Gambles donated a sweet Tempur-Pedic mattress to replace our sorry excuse for a mattress that came with the hospital bed frame. The Lander Journal wrote a delightful article about Shane's generous donation and helpful information about our community-based services. Thanks for writing such a thoughtful article, Jeff Rebitski.

Thanks again Shane for the sweet mattress that will be a warmly welcome treat for many of our clients who spend a lot of time in bed during times of chronic illness or at the end of life. This is an incredibly precious gift--one that is pampering and very practical in keeping skin intact during such fragile stages of life. Read more here.

In 2022, the LOR Foundation provided essential support that enabled us to acquire a dedicated storage shed, a key addition that has transformed our ability to serve our aging community. With this new space, we can now purchase, store, and manage supplies in bulk—everything from safety equipment to daily necessities—ensuring that these critical resources are readily available for our community. Thanks to the LOR Foundation’s generosity, we can better support seniors in safely and comfortably staying in their own homes, empowering them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

LOR Foundation supports projects that can have an immediate, measurable impact because many small actions can create lasting change. LOR’s work focuses on solutions that improve quality of life across a broad range of issues—the economy, education, engagement, environment, health, housing, transportation, and water.

We are incredibly grateful for the generous $3,000 donation from RMPF, which funded 150 hours of Shared-Care. A special shout-out to RMPF for their support this year! It takes a village and RMPF gets this!

The Rocky Mountain Power Foundation is part of the PacifiCorp Foundation, one of the largest utility-endowed foundations in the United States. The foundation was created by PacifiCorp, an energy company that serves over 2 million customers across a diverse six-state region as Rocky Mountain Power (Utah, Wyoming and Idaho) and Pacific Power (Oregon, Washington and California). The foundation’s mission, through charitable investments, is to support the growth and vitality of the communities served by Rocky Mountain Power and Pacific Power. Since it started in 1988, the foundation has awarded more than $60 million to nonprofit organizations. In 2023, Anam Cara received a generous $7,500 donation from the Fremont Endowment Fund and the Kresge Unrestricted Endowment Fund, based on a Wyoming Community Foundation Statewide Board recommendation. This vital grant bolstered 375 hours of shared-care, an initiative designed to make our custom in-home caregiving services more affordable and accessible within our community. We are deeply grateful for this impactful partnership, which helped us sustain our commitment to compassionate care.

For over 30 years the Wyoming Community Foundation (WYCF) has connected people who care with causes that matter to build a better Wyoming. WYCF has granted more than $100 million to charitable causes while also providing a variety of supports to our nonprofit agency fund holders.

WYCF serves donors and communities by connecting them to causes they care about most. We make giving easy by accepting a wide-range of gifts, from cash and appreciated securities to more complex gifts such as real estate and mineral interests. WYCF is overseen by a volunteer board who ensures that your funds are being used to best support Wyoming.
